Post-Signing Materials

All clients get a sample copy of our “Termination of Representation, Retention of Client Data and Documents Policy, and Record of Notarial Services for Existing Clients” document (also known as the “Notices and Acknowledgments” document or “N&A”) with their estate plan document drafts. We require clients to complete the N&A at their signing appointment. The N&A includes the following provision: “I understand that there are post-signing tasks that I must do to ensure my estate plan works as intended.”

We provide our clients with informational handouts detailing post-signing tasks at their signing appointment. The handouts are tailored to the specific estate plan documents and household/family structure of each client. All handouts are below for your informational, planning, and reference purposes. Review the materials below corresponding to your estate plan document drafts and household/family structure. These general-use documents are not legal advice and may contain information not applicable to you/your documents. Although each handout is reviewed and updated periodically, typos and outdated information may still occur. These documents are offered here as a courtesy to our clients. They are copyrighted intellectual property and not for general distribution. Our Client Representation and Fee Agreements do not include guidance regarding their contents.
