Thank you for considering Ampersand Law. We recognize that selecting the right law firm is an important decision and that probate or estate administration can feel overwhelming, especially during a time of loss. Our goal is to make the process as smooth and low-stress as possible.

As a virtual law firm (more here), Ampersand Law prioritizes your convenience. There is no commuting or waiting, and you have the flexibility to meet from any location. All consultations and meetings are held via Zoom or phone.

We use a handful of standard digital tools to communicate and share information with our clients. Before booking, please review how we work together:

  1. Meetings by Zoom: Join video calls from your computer or mobile device.

  2. Online agreements and payments: E-sign your Client Agreement and pay fees digitally.

  3. Digital communication: We primarily use email and our secure digital portal, so regular access and timely responses are essential.

  4. Secure digital portal: We use a secure digital portal for communication and document sharing, similar to Dropbox or Google Drive.

  5. Sharing documents: Some documents must be sent in hard copy by USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Others can be shared as PDFs through the secure digital portal. We cannot accept digital images of documents taken by a mobile phone, including those created with mobile phone PDF applications.

We understand this model may not suit everyone. If you prefer not to use these tools, we encourage you to consider a firm that better fits your needs. If you are comfortable with this approach, we look forward to supporting you throughout the probate/estate administration process.
